Our Mission

The Mission of Fayetteville Animal Protection Society, Inc. (FAPS) is to provide a licensed North Carolina No-Kill shelter for owner- surrenders for a small fee, and to rescue animals from the Kill shelters in our area. We also care for these rescues and provide medical treatment if needed, until they are adopted into a loving and caring lifetime environment.  FAPS believes in Spaying & Neutering to reduce the population of stray animals, and to promote responsible pet ownership.

* FAPS is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations of any kind are tax deductible!

* FAPS holds NC Charitable Solicitation License #SL 000743, registered at http://www.secretary.state.nc.us/csl/

* FAPS is now part of the Combined Federal Campaign.  Please refer to CFC Code 46693 when making a donation.

Volunteer Orientation

We welcome all people who are interested in volunteering at FAPS.  However, you will need to attend one of our volunteer orientation workshops.  Please go to our Volunteer page for complete information and schedules.

COMING SOON - Adoption "Tails"

Adoption "Tails" will be all about the friends you have adopted from FAPS or another rescue.  Please include a short story and pictures and send them to fapspet@msn.com, Subject:  Adoption Tails, Attn: JB  or Attn:  Board of Directors.  Who knows, your story may also be published in our newsletter!

Adoption information

Visit the FAPS' Shelter

Tuesday through Saturday from 1:00-5:00pm

We have over 70 adoptable cats and dogs just waiting for their furever home! 

All shelter pets are spayed/ neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and waiting for a new leash on life!
