Many times people ask us why we request certain types of dog food or need stamps to operate an animal shelter. There are logical reasons for all of our needs and they are always in the best interest of our shelter animals! That's why we are here! Below are some of the highly desired items on our wish list at FAPS.
Dog Food. Although we accept ALL brands of dog food we try to feed our shelter pets the same type of dog food to keep their digestive systems functioning properly. Consistent brand dog food not only cuts down on clean up, but it keeps them healthy and prevents stomach upset. Think of your own dog at home. If you were to switch his/her food, for just one day, think of what would happen!
Kitty Litter. For all of our cat parents out there, you know how picky they can be when it comes to their litter box. Cats demand a clean box at all times or they just won't use it. The same here at the shelter. We have at any given time 40 cats and when they are picky we have to keep their litter boxes clean. So, we are always in desperate need of kitty litter. We have multiple cats!
Stamps. We always need stamps to send out thank you letters to our loyal FAPS supporters. This letter also provides them with documentation of their tax deductible donation!
