Will & Living Trust

You want to leave money, property, a combination, or a percentage to FAPS in your will. You also want the flexibility to change your will in the event that life circumstances change. You can do both.

In as little as one sentence, you can complete your gift. This type of donation to FAPS in your will or living trust helps ensure that we continue our mission for years to come.

Bequest Language

I give, devise and bequeath to Fayetteville Animal Protection Society, Inc., 3927 Bragg Blvd. Fayetteville, NC, Federal Tax ID Number 58-1483982, all (or state fraction, percentage, dollar amount or describe property) of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal.

Beneficiary Designations

Not everyone wants to commit to making a gift in their wills or estates. Some prefer the increased flexibility that a beneficiary designation provides by using: 

  • IRAs and retirement plans

  • Life insurance policies

  • Commercial annuities

 

It only takes three simple steps to make this type of gift. Here's how to name FAPS as a beneficiary:

  1. Contact your retirement plan administrator, insurance company, bank or financial institution for a change-of-beneficiary form.

  2. Decide what percentage (1 to 100) you would like us to receive and name us, along with the percentage you chose, on the beneficiary form.

  3. Return the completed form to your plan administrator, insurance company, bank or financial institution.

FAPS has a forward thinking mentality; we are committed to serving the animals and people in our community for a long time.

Our endowment at Cumberland Community Foundation (CCF) is set up to support FAPS in perpetuity. Every year FAPS is entitled to a distribution from the endowment. The larger we grow the endowment, the larger distribution we get from CCF every year.

​

The result is that FAPS has a permanent source of income that will continue to grow and produce charitable dollars every year. And, over time the total dollars contributed will actually exceed the original gift.
